2020 YEAR 6’s GRADUATION

On Tuesday December 8th, we said our final farewell to our Year 6 students. The students and teachers attended the graduation ceremony at Goulburn Valley Hotel, Shepparton. It was a lovely way to celebrate the students’ primary school lives, their academic achievements and personal accomplishments.

The night commenced with a heartfelt speech from Mr. Engin, wishing the students well for high school and into the future. Our School Captains, Raphael Pelaez and Cidra Chkhaydem, presented their perspective on their final year of primary school, as well as sharing some inspirational words with the graduates. Mrs. Moran and Mrs. Jarvis concluded the opening speeches, sharing their experiences with the Year 6 students throughout the year and wishing them well for their future endeavours.

We were then delighted by videos of each of the Year 6 students. One by one they shared about their time at Sirius College, their fond memories, highlights and future hopes and dreams. It was truly humbling to hear all of the graduates recount the positive impact Sirius College and the staff have had upon their lives. We are all to be congratulated for our efforts in supporting these students to meet this very special milestone.

The novelty, non-academic and academic awards were a highlight and were presented to students throughout the night. Each of the students received a novelty award which was accompanied by a warm message from their classroom teachers. To those students who received a non-academic and academic award, you are to be congratulated.

The program came to a close with the students adorning a gown and having a sash placed around their necks by Mrs. Moran. The graduates then made their way across the stage to collect their graduation certificates and gifts from Mr. Engin and Mrs. Pandher.

A fantastic night was had by all. A special thank you to all the staff who contributed to the preparation and production of this amazing event. Your efforts are much appreciated.
